And the hits keep on coming…against Mike Montgomery that is as the left-hander continues to get bludgeoned in AAA. The Isotopes knocked around Mike for 11 hits and 8 runs to balloon his ERA to 5.67 which is .35 higher than his disappointing 2011. At this point I wouldn’t hold your breath. The Chasers offense tried to keep the team in the game scoring 7 runs to remain within a run but a 3 run home run off Tommy Hottovy in the top of the ninth put the game out of reach. The second base combo of Chris Getz and Johnny Giavotella combined for 4 hits in 8 at bats with Gio connecting for a double and a two run home run.

San Antonio Mission 2 NW Arkansas Naturals 0
The Naturals offense was shut down, limited to just 2 hits and a two walks to get shut out Tuesday. Â While NW Arkansas was getting shut down on offense starter Ethan Hollingsworth was keeping them in the game tossing five scoreless until back to back singles in the sixth set up San Antonio to cross the plate on a double play. Â That run was enough but the Mission would tack on another in the 7th to give them as comfortable a 2-0 win as you’ll find. Â Two Naturals were cut down down on a attempted steals giving NW Arkansas just one opportunity to collect a hit with a runner in scoring position which they of course failed at.

Frederick Keys 12 Wilmington Blue Rocks 8
Local product Jason Adam has had a tough time in the Carolina league and that didn’t change much on Tuesday.  For just the second time this year Adam couldn’t get through 5 innings lasting just 4.1 innings while allowing 6 hits and 3 walks while 5 runs crossed the plate.  The Keys hitters connected for three doubles and his 13th home run allowed in 16 High A starts.  The Rocks offense  continued their solid run of scoring putting 8 runs on the board thanks to a good day by the bottom of the order but it wasn’t enough as the Keys battered the bullpen on top of Adam, scoring a 6 on Edwin Carl and another off Tyler Sample.

Ogden Raptors 9 Idaho Falls Chukars 5
New Dodgers draftee Ross Stripling dominated the Chukars for 3 innings allowing just 2 hits and an unearned run while putting away 5 hitters via a K. Â Things didn’t go much better for Idaho Falls versus relievers Derek Cone and Sawil Gonzalez getting shutout for another 5 innings to fall behind 9-1 as their pitchers didn’t fair as well. Â Dominican outfield prospect Elier Hernandez went 2 for 5 with his fifth double of the season.
