Whit Merrifield Turned 5 TODAY !

Pine Tar Press has learned through exclusive photos that the former Gamecock has turned in an amazing career despite just turning 5 years of age this week. It has been an amazing discovery as players generally lie about their age to appear younger than they really are but Whit indeed lied to gain admission into South Carolina early in order to become apart of a CWS squad that was destined to change baseball in South Carolina forever. While we all knew the USC admissions could be done by a toddler prior we never expected parents to actually give it a go.

Whit’s own mother unknowingly confirmed this amazing secret today when photos of his birthday party setup appeared on twitter. We have yet to confirm what is in the birthday boys box but if I had to guess I’d go with an Iron Man action figure.

It truly is amazing the things he’s done at such a young age. Winning a CWS title, beating Lane Adams in 1 on 1 (unconfirmed) and besting Brian Fletcher in a chicken wings competition but it makes those feats even greater when one learns that he wasn’t even five years old at the time. Oh well Happy BDAY WHIT and keep that South Carolina moonshine flowin just move it to the sippy cup !
