Shots Fired – Duffy Goes After the Basement Crowd
When Danny Duffy recently gave his reason for quitting Twitter he took a stab at “nerds everywhere”.
“There are some fake (Danny Duffy) accounts out there, too. It’s too bad because there are just a bunch of keyboard warriors out there who kind of ruin it for everyone. It sucks because there are some great fans out there I liked getting to know the great fans. “But then there are those people in their parent’s basement who ruin it for everyone. It’s just not fun anymore. I’m done and I think it’s a good thing I am.”

Duffy’s twitter became an internet sensation last year with his “Bury Me a Royal” tweet only to see the lefty quickly leave after an ugly NBA tweet incident. Â Of course Duffy was on the wrong side of those arguments saying Tim Duncan wasn’t the greatest Power forward in NBA history and that the Lakers would win the NBA title but we can move past that because he’s a quirky lefty. Â I’m kinda surprised lefties are even give the right to vote or not forced to sit on the leftside of the bus. Â They are just so creepy.
Without Duffy the Royals still have a strong contingent of pitchers that get their Twitter on with Guthrie, Shields, Will Smith and Everett Teaford all doing their thing. Â Check’em out and hopefully someday we can get Duffy back on the Twitter and looking at houses in KC, where he’ll likely own a basement.
