Royals announce new role for bullpen coach Steve Foster
Bullpen coach Steve Foster is leaving the Royals’ Major League staff to become special assistant to general manager Dayton Moore and Minor League pitching coordinator.
Rick Knapp has been let go after less than one year of service.
Personally, I don’t understand this move….I need to learn more about Foster and see where he stands on things I believe in. The comment about pitchers stalling seems a bit unfair to put blame on Knapp who had to clean up 5 years of lack of development from the previous regime.
Bill Fischer who never had a finger pointed at him still has a job …and will serve as bullpen coach this weekend until Larry Carter replaces him once NWA season ends.
