Blake Johnson released

The Royals released former 2nd round pick of the Dodgers Blake Johnson….

Blake came to the Royals along with Julio Pimentel for Elmer Dessens in 2006. He was re-signed as a minor league free agent this past off season. He was a member of the 2010 Texas League Champion Northwest Arkansas Naturals. His best season with the Royals was 2007 with Wilmington when he was 9-6 with a 3.28 e.r.a. He was 3-1 with a 7.42 e.r.a this season for Omaha.
